How does the Hinge Signals filter work?
Eligible Hinge+ and HingeX subscribers may use Signals-related sorting in Discover and Likes You. A subscription can unlock filtering, but it does not make your own profile eligible for the badge.
Where to find the Signals filter
- Open your Discover feed
- Look for the Signals filter at the top
- Select it to prioritize profiles with an active badge
Subscribers with access may also be able to sort Likes You by Signals, alongside options such as Last Active and Nearby. Availability can vary because Signals remains access-dependent.
What the filter actually does
It narrows or sorts profiles based on whether an active Signals badge is present. It does not guarantee that the profiles shown will respond, be compatible with you, or be currently online.
Use the badge as one optional discovery filter.
Your own status still depends on requirements and participation.
Can it be a Dealbreaker?
Hinge says the Discover Signals filter cannot be set as a Dealbreaker. Treat it as additional context rather than a guarantee about another dater.
Signals and Last Active answer different questions. Signals reflects a broader recent participation pattern; it does not function as a real-time presence indicator.
